Shipping Information

Due to fluctuating fuel costs and shipping carrier rates, shipping costs and options may vary. If you are reviewing this policy as part of your purchase, please note the following details about our shipping practices:

Section 1: Small Package Shipments

  • Domestic and International Shipping: Off Grid Unlimited ships to both domestic and select international addresses.
  • Shipping Costs: Charges are determined based on product weight, dimensions, origin, destination, and item value. Free shipping may apply to certain orders and will be indicated at checkout (available only for the contiguous 48 states; excludes Hawaii, Alaska, and international locations).
  • Shipping Carriers: We use UPS, FedEx, and occasionally USPS for small package shipments. Off Grid Unlimited reserves the right to choose the shipping carrier.
  • Processing Time: Orders are processed within 1-3 business days and typically ship within 3-5 business days.

Section 2: Freight Shipments

  • Freight Rates: Rates start at $287.50. Due to varying factors, actual rates may differ. We will contact you to discuss shipping options and costs if the rate exceeds $287.50. You will be asked to approve any additional charges.
  • Freight Shipping Details: When adding items requiring freight shipping to your cart, you will see a notice indicating that a freight quote will be provided. Select this option during checkout.
  • Calculation of Freight Charges: Charges are based on shipment weight, dimensions, freight class, and other factors. We will contact you within 1-2 business days with shipping options and rates. Additional charges may apply for services such as residential delivery, lift gate fees, or hazardous material handling.
  • Items Requiring Freight: Includes solar panels over 160 watts, batteries over 65 pounds or classified as hazardous, inverters over 65 pounds, and rails longer than 9 feet.

Section 3: Delivery Policy

  • Inspection Upon Delivery: All shipments must be inspected at the time of delivery. Report any damage or missing items to Off Grid Unlimited within 5 business days. Failure to report damages within this timeframe may result in a denial of replacement or reimbursement.

    Inspection Instructions:

    • Take pictures of any damage or missing items.
    • Note damages or missing items on the Bill of Lading (BOL) and keep a copy or take a picture if one is not provided.
    • Refuse delivery if the entire shipment is damaged or accept and note damages if only part of the shipment is affected.

  • Residential Deliveries: If delivery cannot be arranged, the items will be returned to our warehouse, and the order will be treated as a refused return. A refund will be issued minus original and return shipping costs, and any applicable restocking fees.

  • Commercial Deliveries: Freight companies may not schedule appointments unless a “Delivery Appointment” service is requested and paid for. Contact us to add this service if needed.

  • Appointment Service: For appointments scheduled and paid for in advance, if delivery attempts are unsuccessful, the order will be returned, and costs will be deducted from the refund.
